Please find this product at http://absupply.net/searchfast.aspx?videoid=rzd6OOEcsds This video is to bring you a closer look at the Don-Jo TB-215. This is a mounting tab. This item happens to be zinc plated. It is steel based. That zinc plating is gonna give it some corrosion resistance, if you weld it on, but you could. This item is really not intended specifically to be welded on because it has the taps at the top for an 832 thread that and you could use a flathead sort of bolt. This has 1/8″ offset, so it would be appropriate for mounting a ANSI strike, that sort of situation. That is a 1224 tap that’s down on the bottom, it’s 1″ wide by 1-1/2″ height. Commonly used in the aluminum door industry where you’re going to drill and countersink two holes in your aluminum frame for attaching something like an electric strike, would be very common. Steel door people could also use this, but with those threads up there, like I said, it’s not for welding, although you could weld it in, no doubt about it. Typical item used by guys that are doing retrofit locksmiths, in the field sort of repair, modification upgrade situations on frames. 1/8″ is the important thing. If your piece of hardware is about 125/1000″ thick, this is gonna do the trick for you. Some guys will take this and try to bend it back because they’ve got something thicker, like a mortise lock case, you know, whatever works, but that’s easier said than done to make that a different offset. Don-Jo is a provider of ancillary items, to filler plates and mounting tabs like this, they don’t have an exhaustive offering in mounting tabs, but the 1224 with two 832 screws, 1/8″ offset, that’s gonna be pretty common sort of situation that you would fall into. Any questions on the Don-Jo TB-215 offset mounting tab, or any other Don-Jo product, please feel free to reach out to us.
Today on our 1986 Chevrolet Silverado we’ll be taking a look at and installing the BMW Heavy Duty Custom Fit Trailer Hitch receiver. This is going to be a class five hitch, part number BWHDRH25198. Here’s what our BMW class five hitch is going to look like once it’s installed. Super easy installation with only drilling one hole for this application, and keep in mind you may not have to drill holes with your application but some do require it. Simple bolt on installation, fully welded construction that’s going to offer a staggering sixteen hundred pound tongue weight capacity and sixteen thousand pound towing capacity. Offering a sturdy, quarter inch, steel plate design for your chain tie downs and extra strengthening as well as that two inch by two inch receiver too, and five-eights inch pin hole going straight through. A couple other great features about this hitch is it is going to come with that black powder coat finish that is going to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion as well as zinc plated bolts.
