If you want to make a table or something out of copper using this method, first attach the copper roll to a plywood substrate. I use baltic birch of any thickness. I use titebond construction adhesive because of the set time and affordability over epoxy. Use an old credit card or putty knife to evenly spread the adhesive on to your plywood substrate and roll the copper on. Be careful when you do this. Once it’s flattened, use another piece of plywood of the same size to sandwhich the copper and use clamps or something heavy to place on top to squeez the copper on to the substrate while it dries. Use a trim router with a flush trim bit or a pair of sharp scissors to trim the excess copper from the sides. I then like to use a burnisher or a side of a screw driver to flatten the edges so they won’t be sharp. Once the copper is attached and dried, then you can start the patinization process. Have fun! And if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.
